About this book

Three years after the fall at Reichenbach, an elderly book collector turns up in Watson's rooms, and the doctor turns from his shelves to find Sherlock Holmes standing before him, smiling. Watson faints — the first and only time in his life. So begins a return no one had thought possible, and the hunt for the deadliest of the men Moriarty left behind: Colonel Sebastian Moran, a marksman who kills in silence with an air-gun. In a dark empty house across from Baker Street, Holmes waits, while his own wax likeness sits in the lit window as bait. "This empty house is my tree, and you are my tiger."
