About this book
A fawn is born in a hidden forest glade, wobbling on unsteady legs while his mother washes him with her tongue and quiets his trembling. In that closeness she gives him his name: Bambi. The forest around them is all hazel and fern, golden light through maple and beech, birdsong everywhere. And there, small and new, he begins to ask his questions: about who owns the trails, about kinship, about the meadow his mother calls beautiful and dangerous both.

Egy sűrű bozótban született, az erdő közepén.
He was born deep in the thicket, in the middle of the forest.
Ez egy kicsi, rejtett helyen történt a fák között.
It happened in a small, hidden place among the trees.
Ez a hely nyitottnak tűnt, de minden oldalról zárt volt.
This place looked open, but it was closed in on every side.
Nagyon kevés hely volt ott.
There was very little space there.
Épp elég nagy volt neki és az anyjának.
It was just big enough for him and his mother.
Ott állt.
He stood there.
A vékony lábai remegtek, és nem tudott nyugton állni.
His thin legs shook, and he could not stand still.
